I always want to buy long cotton gowns with pockets and long sleeves! This is good for the winter and also good in air-conditioning. Only Eileen West has these and I pray they never stop making them! I wish more of these were being manufactured. Having pockets and long sleeves, and a gown that goes to the ankles is the most comfortable and comforting garment in the evening.
I love Eileen West cotton lawn nightgowns and own many of them This style looked lovely, and it is. However, the neck has a ribbon laced through it, which is not secured, it ends with long pieces of ribbon hanging down. Perhaps for some they would like to tighten the neckline, for me the fit is perfect and the ribbon is annoying. At first I thought I could cut off the excess, and then realized I would spoil the integrity of the neckline. I’ve tied all kinds of bows and knots, and they keep untying, as the ribbon is so smooth. If I only put the nightgown on as I was getting into bed and took it off as I awoke, it might not be an issue. But I have various rituals like brushing my teeth, etc before bed, and this is a feature I don’t like, as the ribbons refuse to stay put….although I like every other aspect from the length of sleeve, the depth of the neckline, the length of the nightgown in general. I will have to look more carefully before ordering again.
Fabric is a bit heavier and than most cotton lawn. That and pockets make it feel more like a robe. Will keep and enjoy, though.
On a different subject, I miss your longer (52-53”) gowns with the 10-12” flounce at the bottom (in cotton lawn). They don’t seem to be as plentiful in last few years - wish they were.
Love the gown but the length and sleeves are too short for me at 5 foot 9 inches. The elastic on the cuff of the sleeves is uncomfortable because the sleeves are short for me. Nightgown is high quality and beautiful but I really need it longer.
I love this fabric and appreciate the quality you can expect from Eileen West. This particular gown is smaller than my other size large gowns, so it’s not as comfortable.
This print is so much prettier in person, photos don't show how nice it is. Fabric is soft, not too sheer. Why isn't there a robe in this print?? Love a set.

Another very pretty nightgown in a pure cotton fabric! The long sleeves are very comfortble and provide that little extra warmth needed as the seasons change.

This is a lovely nightgown. I was so excited to find a cotton lawn with sleeves. I ordered one size down as suggested on the website and it fits fine. The sleeves hit me mid forearm which means I don't get them wet when I wash my face. It's not as soft as my older cotton lawn gowns but I'm hoping it will soften with more washes and I would certainly order it again.
