Such a dainty print, beautiful soft blue. The lace is very pretty. I think it runs a little large as usual for this style but not as oversized as others. I’m 5’7, 145 lbs, purchased a small like I always do but I think I could have gone with a medium as well. It’s fine, I kept the small, it washed well and didn’t shrink. I think this brand is very consistent in its sizing but this is just little smaller.
I have always loved your nightgowns! I love the colors, length of the gown and especially the lace inset on the bodice. Reminds me of the old lace pieces my grandmother had. I highly recommend this particular gown for its comfort and bright colors. The gowns I wear most of the year have cap sleeves and a ruffle at the bottom. I really prefer the longer gown with no ruffle. This gown is the best ever. Wish it had sleeves but for the summer months the sleeveless is fine. I would love to find long gowns that are not heavy or flannel and don't have ruffles. Also, if the sleeves could be a bit bigger than a cap sleeve.
the fabric is not a true cotton lawn, it is kind of stiff, crispy and feels more like percale. I've purchased gowns from Eileen West starting over 20 years ago and they were more like what cotton lawn feels like, soft, light with a nice drape.
Stunning nightie. Lovely startled, thin pleated hem line and ribbon detail around the yoke. Same awesome quality for over 4 decades of wearing Eileen West.
I usually wear a Medium, but because of the comments, I ordered one down and got a small. It fits perfectly. The problem, however, is that the material, even though it is all cotton, is very rough. I really love the old Eileen West nightgowns I have had for years that are so soft, so I am continuing to wash this one in hopes that it will soften up. I don't remember ever having this problem before. Are you using something different in the process?
This was my first EW nightgown. I’m expecting our 4th child and wanted something pretty and cool. I’m usually a size 6 when not pregnant. I ordered a small. At almost 20 weeks with a full C chest and some weight gain in hips from pregnancy, it fits very comfortably with plenty of room to grow, while somehow magically avoiding the mu-mu look. I also appreciate the cut of the top…I wore this on vacation with extended family and didn’t feel the need to wear a sports bra or robe for modesty. I’m very pleased and will purchase more nightgowns from here in the future!
Took my time looking at all the styles before pulling the trigger and “investing” in a few night gowns…. i could not be happier!! I got these ahead of having my third baby, expecting to have a normal delivery, but ended up having a c-section. The nightgowns were exactly what i needed, so comfortable, loose, airy, perfect amount of buttons in the front to allow for breast feeding. I highly recommend getting this!! the pattern is beautiful and I look forward to wearing them once’s healed up too
This is a beautiful nightgown with the usual Eileen West top notch quality. It is not super see-through, which is my preference, and the color is lovely.
