Nightgown was very soft and comfortable. Also was exactly as pictured. Nice fabric, not stiff or too heavy but warm. Was satisfied with purchase five stars. Ordered one in navy blue also.
I bought this beautiful night gown for the upcoming winter months here in Texas (wishful thinking!) It is a good length for me at 5'6", and it is very soft and well-made. I weigh 160 lbs, and I find the Large very roomy. The medium would probably look better on me, but I prefer a little extra fabric for sleep. It is cotton with some polyester, which I usually steer away from. However, if you like a medium wt. soft fabric, the polyester does make the gown warmer than a full-cotton fabric.
The gown is very nice. I was hoping it would be made of the fabric as the dark red and light blue nightgowns. Very comfortable but would have prefered the same fabric as the light blue and dark red. Especially if you like in the states that have cold temperatures and lots of snow.
Love the quality and beauty of this gown. It keeps me warm especially with the long length that goes to my ankles. I wear it as a bathrobe. Going to buy my favorite cousin one for her birthday. Thank you so much
I ordered XL, as usual, but it was way too big. Got the L and it was perfect. Love the weight and the details. Didnt shrink in the wash, and got softer. Love it.
Overall I was disappointed in the customer service/shipping and the garment. This is the only brand I buy for nightwear and has been for many years. I have been a size large nearly the entire time - until now. I saw the warning to order a size down, but bought a large anyway. It was like a tent! So I returned it to exchange for a medium. The shipping times are very long, but returning the two garments for exchange was ridiculous. Once the shipper delivered it, I finally had to reach out to make sure it was still being processed. "Surprisingly", two days after my text the return was reactivated, but still took too long. The size medium fit well from the bust on down, but was very tight in the armholes and shoulders to the point I almost can't take it off. I compared it with older nightgowns and it was definitely cut higher. So... I will try to buy Eileen West again, but I will try the garments on or will order from a retailer and not from the manufacturerer. I will say the fabric is very nice, but heavier than the usual cotton knits (which works for me, being in a colder climate). Still not sure why there are pockets...
This material is soft warm yet breathable, so the comfort factor stays even. I first ordered an extra large which is my usual size. The first gown was too large ( fell off my shoulders) and one of the pockets wasn’t completely sewn. The replacement size large was a perfect fit. Love the pockets!
Woven cotton fabric is perfect! I find your cotton flannel too warm some nights. I have been wearing Eileen West for many years and love your winter as well as the summer nightgowns!
I absolutely love the sweater knit!! First time I have ordered one and now it is my favourite over Eileen West cotton flannel night gowns which I order every year in the fall.

I love the slightly higher neckline, which makes it good for colder weather, and the weight is perfect for winter in California. The fabric is so VERY comfortable, that I have ordered the same gown in red.
Ordered an XL in this particular gown, and it is lovely and warm. I have not yet washed it, as I was saving it for a trip I just took, so I cannot speak for that aspect. The gown is quite generous in fit. I am a plus-sized woman, and typically wear a 1x-2x in tops. My suggestion is to consider ordering down at least one size. I had ordered two Eileen West sleeveless cotton gowns this past summer, also in an XL, and while they were also generous in fit, they were quite perfect given the light weight of the fabric. Highly recommend!
