I love it. Material is nice. It’s made well. Has those iconic abalone shell buttons. The small is the perfect length for a shortie like me. I am 5 feet tall. And it has pockets!

I have always loved the Eileen West nightgowns. I wear a 2X and like long sleeves. This year I was so elated because they had my favorite style in different gowns and colors. It had been a long time since they brought back these styles in my size. I bought 6 nightgowns between Eileen West and the Vermont Country Store!
Beautiful nightgown. Surprisingly the fabric has a slight stretch. Solid black is light and if it is backlit... somewhat revealing as a silhouette so not necessarily see-through... cannot tell color of any undergarment one might be wearing. Light and solid cotton. Usual EW sweetheart neckline with pretty lace across the from arm to arm and top button. Nice pleating (3 double rows) around the bottom with a four inch ruffle ar the very bottom.
Does cut a little in the upper arm compared to the Clara...something is not quite a generous across the yolk in the upper back. Elastic on the sleeves is not too close to the length of the wrist & the ruffle/cuff over the hand but not this gown. Many EW gowns have elastic AT the wrist.
Lovely but if I purchase another I think it would be the Clara.
I wish EW would bring back the black stretch color (t-shirt material) nightgown with the pink rosebuds AND long sleeves circa 2010.
