I’m glad Eileen West is making more black cotton nightgowns—perfect for those of us who are into a goth romantic bedroom vibe. This nightgown is a nice weight for spring when my sleeveless nightgowns aren’t warm enough.
I love the fit of this nightgown and the cotton is warm without being too stiff. The length is perfect for me at 5’4 and is still long enough for the colder winter months. I would definitely recommend this nightgown!
Beautiful nightgown. Surprisingly the fabric has a slight stretch. Solid black is light and if it is backlit... somewhat revealing as a silhouette so not necessarily see-through. A bit like a gauze but solid & cotton-y. The collar is nice and stays put even though it is not sewn down. Adjustable neckline with ribbon so not low or can be low.
I wish EW would bring back the black k nightgown with the pink rosebuds AND long sleeves circa 2010.
Oh it feels like sacrilege to put 4 stars on an Eileen West nightgown but i have to re-buy a new size.
I have a very similar style - i have to get on the site and research the names- long sleeves 8 buttons , white that i have in size S and it fits ideally, i have thought with shoulder seams in place etc. Im slim , a 4 or slimmer but am 5’ 9”, and the S (6-8) in the white similar style is good . But in this , it was too small .
Im coincidentally wearing the similar one now , as i write this , and i do notice the arms on this one are short as well - a 3/4 length - and certainly wouldnt work if they weren’t unbuttoned at the cuff, as the ‘wrist’ is mid arm ….
Hmmm it takes us so many years to know ourselves ,
I guess the note here then is for the sizing guide. I should def fit something offered for size 8 - but here what i would need is a “tall”.
